You are here

Hi folks,

I’m back again. Hope you’ve missed me. Sorry for my absence but I’ve been working on a load of other projects and haven’t had the time to commit to the site. I’m going to ensure I make the time going forward.

Anyway back to the matter at hand so here are my picks for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of Premier League action.

STOKE 2 LEICESTER 2  This is a really difficult one to call. Both teams had cracking wins last week and are in form. Can’t pick a winner so am going to ‘chicken out’ and call a draw.

HUDDERSFIELD 0 WBA 0  I see both teams cancelling each other out in a bore draw. They both lost last weekend and will not want to suffer the same fate again.

NEWCASTLE 2 BOURNEMOUTH 1  Another tough one to call but going with Rafa Benitez to be a little bit too clever for Eddie Howe in this one.

SOUTHAMPTON 1 BURNLEY 2  Sean Dyche’s team have been excellent away from home this season. They are tough to beat and can score goals. The Saints have been solid without being spectacular. Just have a feeling for Dyche’s boys here.

WEST HAM 1 LIVERPOOL 3  Am going to try to be impartial but I always feel miserably. Two clean sheets and 3 goals in successive games have given Reds fans hope but you always feel a mistake from that back four is just around the corner.

Bilic is desperate for the win and his players still want to play for him. Always a difficult game for the Reds at the Hammers. Got to keep Andy Carroll quiet but I fancy Mo Salah to do the business again. What a player!

TOTTENHAM 2 C PALACE 0  It would be hilarious if Spurs beat Real Madrid in one game and lose to Palace in the next. Can’t see it.

MANCHESTER CITY 4 ARSENAL 2  City are bloody scary. Best team in Europe alongside PSG on current form. The thing is they do give you a chance. That backline is not great but they are so so good going forward that it almost doesn’t matter.

I do see the Gunners scoring but City are just too damn good right now.

CHELSEA 1 MAN UNITED 1 Jose Mourinho will come and ‘park the bus’ once more and it’ll be up to Antonio Conte’s men to find a way through. I hope I’m wrong and both teams open up. Will be a great game if they do. Stalemate for me possibly even 0-0.

EVERTON 1 WATFORD 3  Mark my words, Marco Silva will be at big club before long. Very astute manager and his teams play good football.

Everton are awful. No confidence, no shape and no goals in three games under Unsworth. The nightmare will continue.

That’s it for now.
