MY PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS: WEEK 7

Apologies for last week. Can’t believe I didn’t post my predictions but I was busy on some other projects. Hopefully that won’t happen again. Anyway here goes with what I think will happen this weekend in the Premier League……..

SATURDAY

HUDDERSFIELD 1 TOTTENHAM 3  So Harry Kane did his usual August disappearing act yet again but his normal goalscoring service has resumed in September. Seven goals in his last 4 games for Spurs and I really don’t see Huddersfield stopping him and his in-form side.

Two successive draws have steadied the ship for the Premier League new boys since suffering their first defeat of the season at West Ham. Just think the quality of the North London outfit will be too much for them.

BOURNEMOUTH 2 LEICESTER 1  Just have a hunch for the Cherries in this one. The away side will miss the services of Jamie Vardy due to injury and he is a huge loss.

This should be a good one but very tough to call.

MAN UTD 3 CRYSTAL PALACE 0  You honestly couldn’t pit two teams together with more contrasting fortunes this season. United flying high at the top and coasting through their Champions League group. Palace six defeats, no points and no goals in what is officially the worst start to a season in English top-flight history.

The Eagles only hope is that United suffer from the Champions League. Can’t see it. Only one winner here.

STOKE 1 SOUTHAMPTON 0  Stoke boss, Mark Hughes will be demanding a response from his team after their hammering at the hands of Chelsea last week.

The Saints have had an up-and-down campaign so far. I just given the home side the edge here.

WBA 2 WATFORD 3  Like the look of Watford so far. Mauro Silva has got them playing some lovely stuff and they’ve had some good results too. The City drubbing aside, they could be the surprise packet of this season. WBA are what they are under Pulis but I see goals in this one.

WEST HAM 1 SWANSEA 2   Both managers under pressure especially West Ham boss, Slaven Bilic whose side are languishing in the bottom three. A huge six-pointer already even at this early stage of the season. Swansea are unbeaten away from home and the Hammers always struggle on their own turf.

CHELSEA 2 MAN CITY 1  I just sense that thee Blues are starting to kick into gear. Their brilliant four-goal thrashing of Stoke followed up by their historic victory in midweek at Atlético.

CIty are reeling from the news regarding Sergio Aguero. Still more than enough in that City squad to take the points and I just think this will be a statement performance from Antonio Conte’s side.

SUNDAY

ARSENAL 3 BRIGHTON 0  Routine win for the Gunners here. Lacazette to score once again in an easy romp.

EVERTON 1 BURNLEY 2  Burnley have been superb away from home so far beating Chelsea and gaining creditable draws at Liverpool and Spurs. Everton are so vulnerable and Sean Dyche’s men are not the team you want to play in such a position. I think the visitors will take the points.

NEWCASTLE 0 LIVERPOOL 3  Somebody has got to kop a hiding from this Liverpool side. They are creating so many chances but just cannot finish. There is too much talent in that squad for such wastefulness to continue.

The Toon of course managed by Reds legend, Rafa Benitez, who will be chomping at the bit to put one over his old team. Reds to finally come good for me.

It’s about time I had a good week. Wish me luck.
