Here we go again. The games are coming thick and fast now. Another Premier League weekend awaits. So here are my picks for the games coming up….

BOURNEMOUTH 3 BRIGHTON 1  Quite simply Bournemouth have got to come out of their slump at some point. They have been abject so far losing every single game. It’s the toughest test of Eddie Howe’s career so far. Can he mastermind them out of the doldrums?

Brighton were in a similar space this time last week but pulled off a shock win against West Brom to get their first points. Home side to do the same for me in this one.

C PALACE 2 SOUTHAMPTON 1  Still don’t understand how you can fire a manager after 4 games. Something wasn’t right at Palace. Anyway ‘Woy’ Hodgson has taken over the reins. Despite his nightmare tenures with England and LFC he did do well at Fulham and could be the answer for the Eagles. It seems ironic with de Boer having gone so soon but teams normally react well under a new manager. I expect Palace to do that against a struggling Saints side.

HUDDERSFIELD 1 LEICESTER 2  Tough game to call. It’s an easy thing to say that the Huddersfield bubble has burst after their defeat at West Ham. They are at home though and will be tough to beat there.

The Foxes were unlucky to lose to Chelsea last week and have deserved more for their efforts than just the 3 points they have. Vardy and Mahrez to win it for the away side.

LIVERPOOL 2 BURNLEY 0  You just know exactly how this game is going to go. Sean Dyche will set up his boys to frustrate my Reds and see if we can them break them down. They also have big Chris Wood upfront who will scare our backline from set-pieces.

We know we have more than enough to beat Burnley. We are a better attacking unit than we were last year. It may take some time but I’m confident that we will prise them open and get the win.

NEWCASTLE 1 STOKE 2  Stoke are a brutal outfit to play against. The Toon have perked up of late with two crucial wins. Just think Mark Hughes men will be too tough and too rugged for Rafa Benitez’s troops and sneak a hard-earned win.

WATFORD 2 MAN CITY 4  This is one of the more interesting games of the weekend. Watford have started the season really brightly under new boss, Marco Silva. Their excellent win only served to underline this and they will be a handful for Pep Guardiola’s City.

However, City right now are purring. Nine goals in their last two games has given them so much confidence. I do see the home side scoring but City will score more.

WBA 1 WEST HAM 1  The home side were rattle down by new boys Brighton last week and will be chomping at the bit in front of their fans. The Hammers finally opened their account with their vital win over Huddersfield. Draw for me here.

SPURS 3 SWANSEA 1  It’s September so you know that Harry Kane will start to score and he has. Two more for the master sharp-shooter as Spurs destroyed Dortmund in midweek. Poor display from the Swans last time out against Newcastle and Paul Clement will want to see a response from his team. Spurs too strong.

CHELSEA 3 ARSENAL 1  Same old, same old for me in this one. The Blues always seem to beat Arsenal especially at the Bridge. Eden Hazard should be back for the champions. They’ll be Toon strong for the Gunners.

MAN UTD 2 EVERTON 0  What has happened to Everton? All those signings and a promising start made us all think they’d be challengers this season. It could still happen but they have been shocking over their last 4 games culminating in their hammering at Atalanta earlier this week. Old Trafford is not the place you want to go when you’re in a slump. Only one winner here for me.

Sometimes I don’t know why I bother. I have been absolutely appalling with my picks so far and last week was my worst yet. 2-8 I finished making me 13-27 for the season. 13 right out of 40? Good job I haven’t put any money down. Pray for me this week folks!
